About Fat Face
Fat Face was started in 1988 when Tim Slade and Jules Leaver wanted a way to extend their skiing trip in the French Alps. The pair started selling t shirts out of the back of their campervan. They bought the t shirts wholesale, had designs that were specific to the ski resort printed on them, and then sold these designs to other skiers on the slopes.
Initially, they used the money to fund their own skiing adventure. For the next five years, the pair continued to design and print their clothing while travelling around different ski resorts, but in 1993 they opened their first shop on Fulham Road in London. They named the company Fat Face after their favourite resort, the Face de Bellevarde in Val d-Isere.
In 2000, they sold 40% of the company and, in 2007, they sold the rest of the company, netting themselves approximately '90m in the process. Although the recession hit the company hard in 2008, they have bounced back, returning to profit in 2012, and recently continuing to expand their line.
Today, Fat Face has more than 230 shops in the UK, Ireland, and the USA. Many of the products include the company's logo and name, and you will find a lot of the designs are reminiscent of the snow capped mountains on which they were born.
Penguin Check Brushed Cotton
The Penguin check brushed cotton bedding set is a luxurious and comfortable bedding set that incorporates plum and raspberry tones with a motif of two penguins. Made from 155gsm brushed cotton and 100% cotton, the set includes a duvet cover and one or two pillow cases, dependent on whether you buy the single, double, or king size sets.

The Leia Plum, from Fatface, is a beautiful cushion that has a frayed edge detail and hand embroidered details. It measures 45cm x 45cm and can be used to add a level of comfort to your bedroom. The cushion looks equally at home on a chair as it does on the bed, and the cover can be machine washed at 30C, but should be line dried and not tumble dried because of the frayed edges and embroidered detail.
Wild Imagination
As well as designing clothes and bedding, Fat Face has also introduced a line of children's bedding, incorporating fun motifs and colourful design in order to create colourful and appealing bedding for your kids. The Wild Imagination design is a double sided bedding design with land dinosaurs on one side and water based animals on the other. The set comes in single or double size, can be machine washed at 40C and can be tumble dried on a low setting.
Oriental Bird Ochre
The Oriental Bird Ochre design is a bedding set design available on single, double, king, or super king size bedding. The sets include duvet covers and pillow cases. You receive one pillow case with the single set, and two with the larger sets. The sets are made from 100% cotton, so they are soft and comfortable and the reversible design is reminiscent of an Oriental design. The Oriental Bird Ochre design combines perfectly with the Nia Throw.
